About Me

I'm a proud Coptic/Egyptian-American living in New York City and attending medical school in New Jersey. I graduated from Dartmouth College in 2021, with a degree in Neuroscience and English. It's an uncommon background, but integrating the sciences and humanities exemplifies my appreciation for interdisciplinary thinking.

Before medical school, I was a senior software engineer and data scientist at Merck—engineering data solutions (dashboards, ETL pipelines, predictive models, etc.), running statistical & financial analyses, and designing scalable systems to empower pharmaceutical innovation. I am passionate about continuing to use my unique skillset to improve healthcare.

During my free time, you'll find me reading, writing, playing volleyball, watching soccer, drawing, or—more often than not—working on some side project.

Mission Statement

To take on the most pressing challenges—while continuously learning, exploring passions, and pushing the limits of my imagination. To always aim just beyond the realm of possibility . . . and to empower others to do the same.

As an aspiring physician and writer, this means an intentional approach that reconciles biology and biography to treat people, not patients. A direct impact on individual lives is the aim. The method: unlocking the stories that make us human, hidden in data, in words, in health, and in sickness.
